SoCal Cyclists can ride free during Bike to Work Week May 17-21, participate in an Aventon e-bike giveaway, explore a curated list of AllTrails train-friendly bike excursions, and attend a free bike safety class with the Los Angeles County Bike Coalition
From commuting to the office to hitting the trails via Metrolink’s bike-friendly trains, Metrolink is gearing up to celebrate Bike Month with our SoCal cyclists throughout the month of May.
Metrolink, which saw its share of riders traveling with bikes more than double since last March, makes cycling and rail travel easy with a variety of convenient amenities for riders traveling with their bikes, including bike storage lockers at 23 stations, bike racks at 34 stations and dedicated bike cars that hold nine bikes on the lower level.
First, to show our appreciation for those who travel via bike, commuters heading back to the office on Metrolink can use their bikes for their first- and last-mile travel for free, all week on National Bike to Work Week, May 17-21.
To make rail travel even easier for all onboard cyclists, Metrolink offers bike storage lockers at several stations and dedicated bike cars that hold nine bikes on the lower level, allowing for easy travel to bikeable destinations.
Riders who snap a selfie of themselves on the train with their bike and use #MetrolinkBikeMonth at any point throughout the month will have the chance to be featured on Metrolink’s social media accounts.
In addition to free rides and social media features, novices and pro cyclists alike can partake in a variety of fun and informative activities during Metrolink’s Bike Month campaign, including lessons on safe cycling by LACBC, specially curated bike excursions from All Trails and an exciting giveaway for a brand-new e-bike from Metrolink’s SoCal Explorer Loyalty Program partner, Aventon.

Aventon e-bike Giveaway
Metrolink will be kicking off the month on May 3 by inviting the community to enter an exciting e-bike giveaway, sponsored by SoCal based Aventon Bikes.
