You Asked. We Listened. Two Hand Sanitizing Stations In Each Passenger Car For Your Safety.

In a recent survey of riders, we found that hand sanitizers on trains was our riders’ most requested amenity. We heard you and now have   more than doubled hand sanitizing stations on board every train car. Our sanitizers are conveniently located next to each passenger door for your use when you board and exit the train. Our Metrolink Clean Care crew will frequently refill dispensers throughout the day as part of our continued health and safety procedures to provide our riders with peace of mind when traveling with us. You can learn more about all of our enhanced cleaning processes at metrolinktrains.com/cleancommute.

Continuing on the topic of safety, last week we announced a new social distancing tool called “How Full is My Train?” which allows riders to check the historic ridership of their train so they can be assured there’s plenty of room for social distancing. We also monitor our ridership so we can add train cars or trains as we reach capacity levels of 30% or more – which makes social distancing more difficult.  In addition to following social distancing guidelines, we require riders and employees to wear a face mask on our trains.

Let’s continue to work together to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and get our communities healthy again. By taking advantage of our enhanced services including our hand sanitizer stations and our “How Full is My Train?” tool, we look forward to welcoming you back to enjoy the benefits of traveling with Metrolink with more certainty.

  1. Hand sanitizers are a good start, assuming they’re the sort you don’t have to touch in order to operate — those are breeding grounds for alcohol-resistant microbes. Public restrooms at every station would be even better.
