Metrolink riders now have another way to share non-emergency safety and security concerns by texting (866) 640-5190.
The text messages go directly to Metrolink’s Security Operations Center and is available for any concerns on trains and platforms or in parking lots 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
This new feature makes it easier for riders to share concerns, especially if they feel uncomfortable speaking on the phone or are unable to find a conductor, security guard or law enforcement personnel. These concerns may include suspicious persons, objects or activities, people or objects on railroad tracks or any other reasons to have a cause for concern.
If immediate assistance is needed, riders should call 911.
This new feature is another way to help remind riders that if they “see something, say something.”
