Metrolink will operate a Sunday schedule on New Year’s Day, Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019. Slight modifications to the first inbound trains to L.A. Union Station will be made to the Antelope Valley and San Bernardino lines allow riders the opportunity to attend the 2019 Tournament of Roses Parade® in Pasadena.
There will be no service on the Ventura County or Riverside lines or on the four stops on the Perris Valley extension on the 91/Perris Valley Line.
To serve the Rose Parade on Tuesday, Jan. 1, the first train on each of the following lines will operate a modified schedule:
- San Bernardino Line train 351 will operate as train 349X departing San Bernardino – Downtown at 6:05 a.m. making all station stops. The special train will arrive at L.A. Union Station at 7:45 a.m.
- Antelope Valley Line train 260 will operate as train 258X will depart Lancaster at 5:40 a.m. making all stops. The special train will arrive at L.A. Union Station at 7:40 a.m.
From L.A. Union Station, passengers can transfer at no additional charge to the Metro Gold Line and get off at the Del Mar, Memorial Park, Lake or Allen stations. The parade route is just a short walk from the stations.The $10 holiday discount will apply on New Year’s Day with no Holiday or Weekend Day Pass discount.
Regular weekday service will resume on Wednesday, Jan. 2.
Regular weekday service will be available on New Year’s Eve, Monday, Dec. 31.
