All throughout Southern California this weekend you will be able to show your appreciation for veterans at the many festivals, parades and events in their honor.
See which event is the best way to show your gratitude for all of those who have volunteered to protect the country. This year Veterans Day falls on Sunday, November 11, with federal observance on Monday, November 12.
Fullerton:
Fullerton’s 31st Annual Veterans Day Parade & Ceremony – Monday, November 12
The City of Fullerton is holding a free event for the public honoring all U.S. veterans who served and sacrificed for freedom followed by a parade in Fullerton’s historic downtown to Hillcrest Park, stepping off at 10:30 on Monday, November 12.
The parade will begin at Fullerton Downtown Plaza to the newly renovated Hillcrest Park, where the ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. with a placement of wreaths, solos, and a gun salute.
Simply take Metrolink to the Fullerton Station and head to the Downtown Plaza just two blocks on Wilshire and Harbor.
Orange:
Veterans Day Tribute – Sunday, November 11
Join the City of Orange as they honor past veterans and current military with patriotic music and inspirational speeches.
This event is open to the general public and all veterans, current military, friends, and family are encouraged to attend.
This event is held at the Veterans Memorial at Depot Park at 2 p.m.
Take Metrolink to the Orange Station and the park is steps away from the platform.
San Bernardino:
18th Annual Veterans Day Salute & Parade – Sunday, November 11
Join veterans groups, drill teams, marching bands, military vehicles and classic cars in San Bernardino’s 18th Annual Veterans Day Salute & Parade! The parade starts at 7th & D Street and ends at Meadowbrook Park, where a ceremony will be held.
Take Metrolink to San Bernardino – Downtown and Meadowbrook Park is a short walk from there.
Riverside:
A Salute to Veterans – Saturday, November 10
Veterans of all ages and from all branches will be honored in Downtown Riverside! The parade, which steps off at 10 a.m. will feature airplane flyovers, marching bands, mounted horse units, military vehicles, color guards and more! Plus, an expo featuring organization sharing opportunities for veterans and their families will take place at the end of the parade!

San Fernando Valley
San Fernando Valley Veteran Weekend Carnival & Parade – Friday, November 9 through Sunday, November 11
The San Fernando Valley Veterans Day Parade is the largest Veterans Day event for Veterans in the County of Los Angeles which thousands of (approximately 20,000) residents come out every year to pay tribute to the men and women who serve or have served.
The parade will begin precisely at the eleventh minute of the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month – the official kick-off of Veterans day. (11:11 a.m. on November 11)
The parade will begin at the corner of Laurel Canyon Blvd. and San Fernando Mission Blvd, proceed down Laurel Canyon Blvd.1.1 miles and culminate at the Ritchie Valens Recreation Center and Park.
