We began offering a new, 25 percent discount for all San Bernardino Line tickets on July 1, 2018, and are looking to making this a permanent discount. To make this a reality, we are hosting two Title VI workshops to allow residents and riders share feedback about making this a permanent discount to make taking Metrolink more affordable.
The workshops will be held in Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties so that riders from across the line have the opportunity to participate and leave comments. Both workshops will take place from 6 to 8 p.m.in both English and Spanish.
Those who cannot attend the workshop can attend digitally through a Facebook Live broadcast beginning at 6 p.m. on both days at facebook.com/metrolink.
Furthermore, we have created a survey to acquire additional feedback. Responses must be received by November 8.
To help reach out to the public, our staff reached out to 35 newspapers, including Limited English Proficiency (LEP) newspapers, provided 8,000 seat drops on the San Bernardino Line, sent 300 emails to community groups and businesses and 17 LEP organizations. We believe that public feedback and support is necessary in making Metrolink a viable option for commuters.
Comments can also be made online at metrolinktrains.com/public-hearing-notice.
