Metrolink Matters In 2003, Metrolink, Amtrak and the California Department of Transportation worked together to help Southern Californians have more rail commuting options while increasing ridership for both rail agencies.
This program, known at the Rail 2 Rail® Program, allows our Monthly Pass users and Amtrak Pacific Surfliner monthly riders the ability to use either service within the limits of their pass at no additional charge stretching from Oceanside to Oxnard.
This program allows for many options for riders when they are traveling along the Los Angeles – San Diego – San Luis Obispo (LOSSAN) rail corridor, for Metrolink riders on the Orange County and Ventura County lines.
