While Southern California is known for great weather year-round, there is nothing like going to the beach in the summer! With the summer season coming to a close, don’t forget that Metrolink can get you to the region’s best beaches for a day of fun in the sun!
Get your $10 Weekend Day Pass for unlimited rides on Metrolink, which also lets you transfer to Metro Rail and OCTA buses at no additional cost to get to your favorite beach!
Take a ride on the world-famous Ferris wheel on the Santa Monica Pier or to Venice Beach by taking Metrolink to L.A. Union Station and transferring to the Expo Line.
Take the Orange County or Inland Empire-Orange County lines for direct service to the beaches of San Clemente or Oceanside – plus you can even bring you surfboard so you can ‘catch a wave’! From the San Clemente Metrolink Station you can hop on OCTA Route 1 and head north to Orange County’s best beaches like Capistrano Beach, Dana Point, Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, Bolsa Chica State Beach, Sunset Beach or Seal Beach.
Remember, you can bring bikes and surfboards on all Metrolink trains, and any other beach gear, such as chairs or umbrellas are welcome aboard, too.
Don’t forget that Labor Day is coming up this weekend on Monday, September 3, and in addition to offering a Sunday service schedule, we’re offering $10 holiday all day fares to get you to the beach and back!
Don’t forget to grab the sunblock and some water and we’ll see ya’ on the sand!
