Adventures on the Ventura County Line: Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley

If you want to brush up on American history all you have to do is hop on the Ventura County Line to Simi Valley – home of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.

The Library is a self-guided collection of exhibits that tells the story of the 40th President of the United States.

Some of the exhibits you can explore are Air Force One, the Berlin Wall, the Gold Star Families Memorial Monument, the Oval Office, the Reagan Museum, an exhibit about the Secret Service and the Memorial, which is the final resting place of the president and First Lady Nancy Reagan.

The Library is currently hosting a traveling exhibit, Genghis Khan: The Exhibition, which shows how Khan was a revolutionary during his time with innovations such as pants, the pony express, cannons, paper money skis and violins.  This is the only Southern California stop on its international tour and runs through August 19.

The Reagan Library is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and can be reached by taking Simi Valley Transit Route A and D from the Simi Valley Metrolink Station.
