Summer Train Festival Comes to L.A. Union Station this Weekend
The perfect event for any railroad fans is taking place this weekend at L.A. Union Station because the 2nd Annual Union Station Summer Train Festival returns tomorrow, Saturday, July 14!
This free, family event will feature a rare collection of restored vintage train engines from the 1940s, 50s and 60s that is sure to bring out your inner conductor. This event includes vintage rail cars with tours, model trains, food trucks and live entertainment – truly something for everyone.
This annual event highlights the history of train travel and gives afficionados the chance to get up close with classic cars, learn about trains for industry professionals and enjoy a variety of train-centric activities such as games and history lessons. Special state-of-the-art 360° Virtual Reality stations featuring a selection of train-themed experiences will transport you as you travel through the Swiss Alps and other worldwide destinations.
Additionally, California Operation Lifesaver will be providing train-safety education and awareness to help attendees remember the importance of rail safety.
Be sure to check in at the Union Station Information Booth for a festival map and free Event Passport to keep as a souvenir. The first 1,000 guests to complete the passport will receive a commemorative Summer Train Fest pin.
