Metrolink’s newest station, the Burbank Airport – North (AV Line)┬áStation will officially open to the public on Monday, May 14.

The station, which is located at 3600 N San Fernando Blvd, Burbank, CA 91505, will provide more options for Metrolink riders and provide a daily Hollywood Burbank Airport connection via the Antelope Valley (AV) Line. This new station will supplement the existing Burbank Airport – South (VC Line) Station (formerly known as the Burbank/Bob Hope Airport Station) on the Ventura County Line.

Riders using the Burbank Airport – North (AV Line) Station to travel to the Hollywood Burbank Airport will be able to use a free shuttle service from the station to the terminal.

On Thursday, May 10, Metrolink, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro), airport and elected officials held a ribbon cutting-ceremony to mark the completion of the station. Attendees included Los Angeles Mayor and Metro Board Chair Eric Garcetti and Burbank Mayor Emily Gabel-Luddy. Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich played an integral role in creating the station and was honored by city and transit leaders with a dedicated plaque at the station.

On Monday, Metrolink will celebrate the opening of the station with a community event from 7 to 10 a.m. Stop by for the opportunity to see the station, enjoy light refreshments and enter for a chance to participate in a raffle to win prizes from Metrolink and Hollywood Burbank Airport airlines.

Additionally, with the opening of the new station, Metrolink’s AV Line schedule will see adjustments of up to seven minutes on all trains. Times can be found online now or at stations beginning Monday.
