Hear Ye, Hear Ye! Metrolink Can Help Get You to The Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire

If you’re looking for as unique experience this weekend (or the next few weekends), then The Original Renaissance Faire at the Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area in Inrwindale is perfect for you!

Picture it! Deptford, England, late 1500’s, and Queen Elizabeth is embarking on her annual trip through the towns, estates and countryside under her rule. It’s up to the residents of Port Deptford to showcase their town to the Queen by providing entertainment, food, music and dancing.

Now celebrating its 56th year, the Ren Faire is an annual favorite in Southern California, and this year is sure to continue to be a jolly good time with themed weekends, pub crawls, 13 stages with magicians, dancers, jousters and other performers. Attendees can also purchase unique gifts, try authentic food and drink and participate in various ceremonies throughout town.

It’s easy to get to the Ren Faire with Metrolink’s $10 Weekend Day Pass from L.A. Union Station, simply take the San Bernardino Line to the El Monte Metrolink Station and transfer for free onto Foothill Transit Line 492 every 30 minutes.

The Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire is open Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. though May 20. Tickets can be purchased at the official website.
