On Friday, April 6, the Orange County Transportation Authority hosted their annual Angels Express Kick-Off rally at the Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo Metrolink Station.
This fan-favorite event was a great opportunity for Angels fans to gather together before the game for food, music, face painting and free swag and prizes including t-shirts, hats, tote bags and even Metrolink tickets.
Former Angels player Clyde Wright, who played with the Halos from 1966 to 1973, attended the event to take pictures and sign autographs before riding up to the Anaheim ARTIC Metrolink Station to attend that night’s game.
Fans ended the day at Angel Stadium where the Angels beat the Oakland A’s 13 to 9.
The Angels Express trains provide service to Angels home games starting at 7:07 p.m. from Los Angeles and Orange counties, and on Fridays from Riverside County.
Tickets are $7 for adults, $6 for senior/disabled, $4 for youth (ages 6-18) and free for children under 5 with each fare-paying adult. Tickets are available at ticket vending machines and on the Metrolink App.
