Celebrating the Pups of Metrolink
It’s National Puppy Day! To celebrate, we wanted to highlight some of the pups that help make Metrolink safe.
Metrolink has a contract with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to serve as the transit policing agency throughout the entire system. As part of this agreement, police dogs are used regularly to search trash cans, stations and any items that may have been left behind on trains or near tracks. K-9 units for law enforcement agencies throughout the counties we serve also help to keep transit centers, stations and tracks safe.
The dogs help thwart potential threats through their highly visible presence and their ability to sniff out potential danger.
We tip our hats to these four-legged heroes!
